Join us for the 5th Annual Kickin' It Martial Arts Tournament & Expo on Oct. 21
benefiting Stop children's cancer
Now in its sixth year, the annual Kickin' It Martial Arts Tournament & Expo is scheduled for Sat., Oct. 21,, at Gainesville Health and Fitness Center on Newberry Road. The Gainesville martial arts community supports Stop Children's Cancer through this event, and raised more than $7,000 for this cause last year alone.
The tournament is open to competitors ages 16 and younger, and is organized into two separate competitions for karate and jiu jitsu.
The karate competition will include forms, sparring, and weapons. The jiu jitsu competition will include gi and no gi. Competitors may participate in any or all divisions of either the karate or jiu jitsu competitions.
Competitor and Spectator Fees:
- Karate Competition: Early Registration $45; At the Door $55
- Jiu Jitsu Competition: Early Registration $45; At the Door $55
- General Admission: $5 or $15 for family or group four people or more
Each competitor registration fee includes one event day t-shirt. Competitors are encouraged to register online by Oct. 6, but may register onsite the day of the event.
